Description:
A smokey, medium- to full-bodied orange with notes of whiskey, honey, tobacco, and leather.
Recommended Pairings:
This is an orange wine to savor with food. Sip with oysters, green olives, and cured meats for aperitivo, or pair with spicy dishes or roasted meats.
In the Vineyard:
Ambar is made with 100% organic grechetto grapes harvested from the agrarian school 7km from the Corvagialla vineyard and cellar.
In the Cellar:
Harvested in early September and macerated for 5-7 days before pressing. It finishes fermenting in porous porcelain (gres porcellanato) jars then a portion is transferred to used oak barrels to age for 12 months.
Bottled in March.
Ambar’s label design was created by winemaker Niccolo’s father, an artist and chef based in Costa Rica.
